Howard Johnson Hinton

The Crestwood was the first hotel I stayed at in Hinton 23 years ago, and given the increasing shoulder season prices at other hotels, and possible overnight snow eliminating my will to camp in Jasper, I decided to give the Crestwood another try as the price was significantly lower than most other Hinton hotels. While the outside and hallways have not changed much over the decades, the rooms have been improved - new decor, clean, coffee machine, comfortable bed, etc. IT IS a budget motel, and the rooms are not well soundproofed, but I think most guests realize this quickly and try to be quiet. If you just need a clean room and comfortable bed, don't mind the thinner walls, or just want to save money, this is fine for an overnight stay. I slept well.

Why pay three times the amount for a crappy room in Jasper, when 50 min easy drive away is the (not tourist infested) vibrant town of Hinton, you can get clean comfortable and relatively quiet rooms at this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were very clean

The management was great! They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is in walking distance to amenities such as restaurants and grocery store. The beds were good and the TV has a lot of channels.
