Centrally located and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The property has its own restaurant and bar and on checking in you are given a discount card to use at each, although this is single use, even if staying for more than one night. Check in is efficient and the staff are welcoming. The room is clean and well appointed. Parking is across the road in a public parking area and as the check in process included giving car details you do not have to pay when using this public parking area.

Spent 1 night in Jasper on our way to Golden. Booked this hotel because it appeared quaint with food options very close. Initial interaction was positive. Yes room is dated and yes bathroom is very small, however it met our needs for 1 night. That changed very quick! That night a party took place on the roof of the pizza place next door. Loud does not describe it. Base from DJ so strong the windows rattled. We called the desk and we were told it was an impromptu party. Later discovered that was a Lie. Desk said they would tell them to shut down. 20 min later we went downstairs and yes they were going to stop by 11 pm per noise ordinance. We'll took till 1130 pm. Next day management refused to take any responsibility but offered discount for breakfast. We spoke with pizza management and party had been on books for 4 Weeks and local merchants were aware. Communication is very important. All they had to do was say at check in there is a party taking place tonight but will be done by 11 or 1130 pm. Instead the hotel lied. WE WILL NOT RETURN. There is a moral obligation for a business to inform guests if some event will impact their stay. For a bad night's sleep loud music and rattled windows we paid 500 dollars! REDICULOUS. Don't lie to guests and be upfront !

Location excellent, near shops/restaurants and railway station. Some rooms have mountain view (which means also the busy main street and railway yard). Good wifi and laundry room, helpful staff (eg bringing luggage via the stairs); separate tea kettle in room.
Room itself is labeled 'quaint/vintage', but for us it was just an overpriced dump. Bedroom far too small for 2 persons and luggage. Bathroom '100 years old but renovated in 2017' but that hardly shows off. Bath tub with jetstreams that don't work at all, clumsy taps on main sink with also wear and tear.
Even in main season, only worth half of less of quoted price level.
