Econo Lodge Lethbridge

Booked for 1 night, Great location, for several restaurants and fast food, within walking distance and a short drive Everything was clean and worked and room came with a good size fridge and microwave. Rooms are a great size with supper soft beds and our had been updated. Bathrooms were a little small and could be updated but were clean. Property was quiet and well maintained. Breakfast was standard Econo Lodge with a waffle maker, muffins, cereal and bread. Juice and coffee were available 24 hrs a day with on-site fitness, laundry and ice machine.

I recently had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've encountered at the Econo Lodge in Lethbridge. On Thursday, July 23, around lunchtime, I stopped by the hotel while I was in town for work. I will be working in Lethbridge every week for the foreseeable future and was looking for an affordable hotel where I could stay regularly. I approached the front desk and spoke with the employee on duty, whose name tag I believe said Lenny or Lanny. I simply asked to book a basic one-bed room with a refrigerator and, if possible, to view a room before making my decision. Instead of helping me make a reservation, I was told that I couldn't book a room and that I would need to leave my contact information so a manager could call me back with a rate. I explained that I wasn't looking to negotiate a corporate or long-term rate at that moment—I simply wanted to book a room because I was in a hurry and needed to get back to work. I mentioned that any discussion about future rates could happen later. Despite explaining this several times, the conversation went in circles and no reservation was made. After spending far longer than necessary trying to accomplish what should have been a simple booking, I decided to leave. I walked next door to Motel 6, where my reservation was completed in less than 30 seconds with no issues. As someone who was prepared to become a regular weekly guest, this experience was extremely disappointing. A front desk should be able to complete a straightforward reservation efficiently. Unfortunately, the inability to do so gave me little confidence in the overall operation of the hotel, and as a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

We stayed at this location on Feb 5 it was terrible. As a former housekeeper I check bedding at every hotel we stay in and the sheets obviously were not changed they were slept in wrinkled with an obvious area where someone had sat on the bed, and an obvious bodily fluid stain. That being said the lady on reception that evening was great to deal with. She brought new bedding/ offered to switch rooms which we refused because there was no guarantee that bedding was clean either. This has become an issue in more and more hotels that we always strip the beds and roll the sheets to ensure the next customer will have clean bedding.
