HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES MEDICINE HAT

Our bathroom floor was not washed when we checked in(as seen in the shared video) I went to the front counter to notify the staff of the unacceptable standards of the bathroom. The only two options they gave me is to move from a double queen to a single king which didn’t work for the size of our party. The second option was to wait for morning and have house keeping come clean it. After a hour of trying to deal with this we gave up as my daughter was there for a competition the next morning and she needed to get to sleep. In the morning I went back to the desk to discuss situation and showed the video to the new staff. She was disturbed and disgusted. She said her supervisor wasn’t in and that She would call once she spoke with her. No call. Very frustrating to have such poor customer service.

There is no air conditioning in the lobby and hallway. Fortunately, the A/C does work in my room. Don't forget, it is a hot summer day. The A/C in the exercise room does not work as well. On top, the breakfast room comes with out-of-order pan cake maker and fridge. Better than that, only half of the toaster was working and resulted in long line up.

Holiday Inn used to be our favourite place to stay. We come here a couple times a year for a weekend getaway as my kids love the waterslide. This time I wasn’t as happy as previous stays. Our room smelt terrible and the walls were dirty. The pool area smelt like sewer. Very limited options at the breakfast, lots of the food trays were empty. Next trip we will look at staying somewhere else.
