Holiday Inn Express Vancouver Metrotown

We contacted the hotel for information prior to our stay, as we had three rooms. Soon after, I received an email asking a number of questions about our stay. We tried to check-in early and although our rooms were not ready, they gave us access to the breakfast lounge. We were then notified when each of our rooms were ready. The three rooms we had were of varying sizes depending on the location of the room, as the hotel is a weird shape. One room had the bed right next to the AC unit, one room was huge compared to the other two. Beds and bedding were good, usual Dove products in the bathrooms. Earplugs were included with the room, as some rooms were apparently noisy due to transit line across the street. Free water, cookies, and mini cupcakes were available in the lobby. Breakfast offerings were OK, usually 2 types of eggs, 2 meats, congee, and the usual continental breakfast offerings. We were given welcome baskets in each room, which included some fresh fruit and packaged snacks. Free parking is available at the hotel. Hotel is attached to Metrotown via a covered walkway as well as various other stores right under the hotel. Quick walk to Crystal Mall, which is an Asian Mall with a food court. Hotel is also across the street from the Expo Line, which was very convenient to the cruise port, but not the airport. All the hotel staff was extremely friendly. Kudos to the hotel for hiring disabled personnel throughout the hotel, from the breakfast area to housekeeping.

Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Metrotown. Excellent service from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to Ashley and Joella at the front desk. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and Alex, the Breakfast Ambassador, provided excellent service. Highly recommend.

My husband and I recently took a trip and stayed at this HIE that is connected to the shopping mall. I want to thank especially the front desk staff who made us felt truly welcome and Ashley Kim who sent us a welcome basket. The breakfast was the best among all the HIE that we have stayed at over the last 25 years! It had a fantastic varieties including vegetables and a touch of Asian flavor congee...bravo!
