Travelodge Kelowna On The Lake

I was attending a conference in Kelowna and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to experience Hotel Zed, a place I had heard so much about, so I wanted to find out myself; and I wasn't disappointed. Its a motel on steroids and it was so much fun. Whacky design giving off a 70's vibe but done well, with plush furnishings and some vintage products, such as the classic wind-up telephone, which you can use from your room. Their slogan is "against the ordinary" and it shows. The rooms may be small but tastefully decorated and the beds.....oh, the beds! I kid you not, BEST frigging bed ever, second only to one found at Four Seasons Hotels. Super soft with a mix of firm and soft pillows. Could have stayed in bed all day! Though the outdoor pool was closed, the hot tub was open, which was really good and their sauna kicks butt - very warm and quite large. Zed offers cozy fireplace outdoor lounges, a ping-pong room and a place to grab complimentary hot beverages. Parking was limited but the central location in the heart of Kelowna made getting around by foot very easy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're ever in Kelowna and want something different than the ordinary!

Found this place first for location then price- very comforting rooms, each one is a bit different, great location by the water downtown and close to the Kelowna hospital- walking area for lots- staff great, love the owners dog! Very fun friendly place-with a twist

Don’t be fooled by the glossy sponsored TikTok videos. This is a rundown motel with some colourful paint to distract you. The location is great, but the rooms are very small, dark and not particularly clean. Bottoms of our feet were black from the carpet, yuck. Housekeeping didn’t actually clean the bathroom or vacuum. The area is pretty noisy lots of sirens and nightclub noise so just keep that in mind if you are visiting on a weekend. To be fair all the staff were absolutely lovely people not hate to them but would not stay here again.
