This hotel is a beautiful spot! It has so much character & charm right when you enter the lobby. It's ran by the loveliest family, and the employees are so nice & helpful! It's super easy to get to with secure parking, it's a low stress experience. There's also quite a few other businesses in the area if needed and it's right by a cute lake which is a pretty view. I had a two-queens standard room and it was way bigger than expected, which I loved. Everything was very clean & well-kept. The restaurant downstairs also has amazing food - I highly recommend the Braised Short Rib dish!! They also have the wildest whiskey collection with over 150 bottles from all over the word, so neat!

Went there for my wife's Birthday. 6 other couples joined us there. We had a fun filled Happy Hour in the bar the venue was just perfect for the 14 of us. The bar manager was great and looked after all our needs. We then went to dinner and our table was perfect We had a private alcove, the food was delicious and we were all served to gether not an easy feat. Kudos to the kitchen staff. I highly recommend this venue for small or parties such as ours. If you going to be staying in Nanaimo book your stay here you will not be disappointed .

Last minute booking. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the front desk woman was surly. I had a bit of a wait and politely said she could use some help but was told she didn't need help if people (me) knew what they were doing when they booked. I had booked a garden suite but got the 3rd floor. Not a big deal, just not what I had booked. Room was average.
