Silver Creek Lodge

In February 2026, our family stayed in a top floor condo on the front-side of Silver Creek Lodge. There's no check-in desk at this lodge, so we had to walk down (and back up) a short, snow-covered, slippery hill to the Snowbird Lodge to check in. The short hill is also the only walkway from this upper village building to main street—there are no stairs. Parking is limited. One family's condo didn't come with a parking pass and they had to park in a lot away from the building. Our condo was clean, but it had a very small kitchen and original finishes, which felt underwhelming for the price. (When we booked, we couldn't choose the actual condo we'd stay in.) The building isn't truly ski in, ski out—you walk part way down a short lane, put on your skis, and then traverse the rest of the lane to the nearest run, and do the same in reverse upon return (plus a short hike up to get to the lane if you come down the main ski way at the end of the day). The view from our condo was nice; however, there are two buildings that sit in front (Vance Creek Hotel and Snowbird Lodge), with many windows facing uphill toward us. We had to keep our blinds closed at night for privacy. At 6:30-6:45 a.m. each morning, we were woken up by the sound of groomers going up and down nearby runs and uphill above the building. Next time, we’ll look for a quiet condo on the mountain with a view of the Monashees.

Places like this are all to common in the Banff area. Can charge insane rates and in return give lacklustre service, all because they are spoilt for choice with people flocking in. What was a reasonable rate for hike up ridiculously when I enquired. Hiked up prices annd added a few more $100 dollars on at the time of booking. Sad

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The host was extremely helpful and even came out at 10pm to help us light the fire for the evening. There is an interesting cave you can explore nearby too. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
