Waterfront Inn

We had a 2-day stay at the waterfront motel, which is a great location to the massive park and beach in front of the property. Rooms were clean and from what I heard, were the best pick from the 3 motels on this end of the lake. Seems to be much more chill on the Skaha side, which was nice. The beach was super clean and not too crowded. You may need to drive to get some of basics ( food, etc. ) but not a deal breaker. Just a note, gets a bit pricey on the weekends as opposed to the weekdays.

We were there for 3 nights. First the beds were great, very firm and comfortable! After staying the second night we had accidentally spilled a lot of popcorn on floor. We needed toilet paper and clean towels. We couldn’t get the coffee maker to work. So I messaged and phoned at least 5 times as there is no one in the office. I was told the cleaner only works 2 days a week and this was his day off. The person I communicated with was also off. I was not pleased. And I am sure he could tell. When we came back the popcorn was vacuumed up and there were clean towels. But no clean bathroom and no toilet paper. Thankfully we had gone and got our own toilet paper and our own towels. So no clean cups either. I guess they feel it’s not summer so no service. I’m sorry we were paying guests. Not happy

Not sure where to start here. We came to see friends who already booked at this complex. First off, it is very confusing because they have three names. When you get to the site, they also have three offices but two are closed. They refused to take cash when we tried to pay for the room. Then their credit card machines didn’t seem to work declining three different cards (all had less than $100 balances). Yes, the tech error maybe wasn’t their fault but it would have never come up if they didn’t refuse our hard-earned cash. Eventually, we used our debit card but it was kinda embarrassing as the staff member didn’t hold anything back when verballing declaring “declined” in the lobby over and over. When we got to the room, it had not been updated in 40+ years, they was impressively outdated. The room had lots of flies that drove us nuts. The room phone was broken so we had to walk to the end of the property to get help each time. The safe had no instructions and took a day for the staff to figure out how to open it. There are a fair amount of homeless drug addicts in the area so this made us nervous. One even followed my fiance all the way back to her room and wouldn’t leave her alone. He ran away when she went to call the police. The toilet and fridge are loud causing us to lose sleep. We left at 5 am in the morning to go on a balloon ride but it was cancelled due to poor weather. After driving all the way back, the hotel refused to yet us back into our room, even though we paid for it until 11 am. No, they had not cleaned or even went into the room. For almost $300 a night after tax, this was a joke and why I never stay at hotels anymore. Airbnb is the way to go.
