Somass Motel

A few tidy, level, graveled spots. Ours had electric and water. A couple had dumps too. The rest of this place is small cabin motel rooms. Everything seems pretty well kept up. There is one bathroom and shower, which means if someone is showering you aren’t going to be able to use the bathroom. The shower is small and the hot water is not abundant but it’s adequate. small outdoor pool that looked clean. Staff was friendly.

Had a quick stopover in Port Alberni and picked the Somass. Great choice! Very clean and bright room with many mirrors so I could get ready while hubby was in the shower. Liked the full sized kitchen with hot plate, would have been fun if we had been staying longer, it was a bit cold in the bathroom when we first arrived but warmed up after turning the heat on, might have been something wrong with the register in our room, not a huge deal as we were on and out. The bed was super comfortable omg didn't want to get up! Very nice for an older motel, will keep in mind if we come back this way in the summer. :)

Could not get a room in Ucelet or Tofino so drove back to Port Alberni to stay the night. Stopped here on a whim and am glad I decided to stay there. The rooms are clean & reasonabley priced & the owners very accomadating. Had a good sleep and was very impressed with this Motel.
