SANDMAN HOTEL

Clean, the bed was a little soft for our taste but we still slept well. There is an elevator. There is a place next door to eat. Lighting was OK. adequate number of 120v and USB outlets. It had a microwave, safe, larger than many refrigerator (no freeze compartment).

Very much appreciated the suite with kitchenette. Newly renovated rooms are nice. The shower apparatus is a bit confusing and the angle of the shower head can't be adjusted. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the ground floor and it was quiet until staff greeted each other outside our door around 9 am. Would have appreciated being on the quiet side of the property and on a higher floor

This is the second worst hotel I have ever visited and the first was outside Philadelphia when upon arrival the police were arresting a criminal. There were roach traps in the entry way to the hotel and the elevator smelled like the testing lab for THC extraction experiments. When we got to our room it smelled awful! The closest thing I could identify was a combination of pesticide and a dead animal. We should have left immediately but as it was 11:30 pm we decided to open all windows and see if the odor would dissipate. It did not. We requested a change of room but no other room was available and the young woman at the desk did not have a manager present to consult. She brought up a fan and air freshener aerosol. She was clueless! The bathroom was not as bad as the sleeping area so I grabbed a blanket and pillow and slept for a while on the floor. I did receive a full refund from the agent that booked the room, but I will never recommend staying at this hotel.
