Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina

This is our 2nd year staying at Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina & there are only a few pet friendly units so we tried Unit 126 this year & it did not disappoint! Everything was beautifully updated & layed out very well. I love the no contact check in & out. The only suggestion I might make is to replace the carpet on the stairs because it did look a bit worn being a pet friendly unit.

Now trading as Vancouver Island Waterfront Resort but same complex next to Sooke note and harbour. Great location and if you have a property near the front then good views over the water and short walk down road to jetty and boat pier. Few mins drive to whole range of shops and to Whiffin Spit for beach walks. Big hotel next door could offer dining options if you wanted them. Apartment was modern, clean and well-appointed. Had all we wanted for short stay and garage parking beneath it. Review slightly less than 5 as other rentals on our trip offered more welcoming touches ( fruit, milk, chips) and had way smaller damage deposits, but lovely place and well worth trying.

Great location especially if you want access to marina for fishing excursions. We stayed in unit 142 with 3 bedrooms. Beds were comfy and location was very quiet although hot tub just out back. Unit has a washer and dryer which is handy. Nice to have balconies...the upper one could have used chairs. We used the barbeque which was great to have. Basic kitchen supplies were very skimpy...no saran wrap, tin foil or baggies. Very limited supply of coffee, sugar, dishwasher pods etc. Basic spices and cooking oil would come in handy. Be prepared to bring your own chairs and beach toys if beaching is in your plans. Close to Ella Beach and Whiffen Spit; 20 minute drive to French Beach which has beautiful sand at low tide.
