Sea to Sky Hotel Banquet and Conference Center

Fantastic stay. Juan at the front desk was extremely helpful and cheerful he is the best front desk person I have ever had! I also dealt with the front desk manager who was also very nice and helpful. We stayed in a corner two-bedroom suite. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were super comfortable, it had a nice balcony, and the room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located next to a grocery store, a pharmacy, and an excellent Indian restaurant. It was an easy drive to everything in the area. I can highly recommend the Sea to Sky Hotel and Conference Centre.

I've stayed at this hotel every year at this time since 2017 and I can't believe the amount of neglect since then. First night I found the room lacking... mainly in cleanliness. But the bulbs in all the lamps were very dim, maybe a 40 watt but that's being generous, so it was hard to see till morning when I opened the curtains. The filth of the carpet, I mean there were spots that were STICKY! The black that seemed to be mold (I'm no expert), the dust. It was awful. I went to the front desk and showed the clerk the pictures I took. He asked me to text them to his number so he could show the Manager. I did, he confirmed he got them, found me a new room later that day and said he'd talk to the manager. The new room felt like I was in a different hotel with the drastic difference in how clean it was, though still very dim even with all the lamps on. I decided that maybe the black whatever it was, was reported previously and they stopped letting guests stay in that room so it was an error to put me in there. That was until the last night when I was just about to put my head on the pillow and a large silverfish came out from under the pillow. Never staying there again.

We booked this hotel last minute and didn't want to pay the crazy high prices in Whistler. I can see why it was so cheap...so I guess we got what we paid for. It's a bit outdated, and we stayed for four nights--and didn't get the room cleaned even once. I thought it was funny how an envelope was left for tips for housekeeping but our room wasn't touched. There was also a strange system to use the hot tub--having to go the front desk to check out a key--I've never seen that before. The location was in a shopping area so it was a bit strange but convenient.
