As global travellers we were both pleasantly surprised by this motel and had a most comfortable stay. The rooms are not modern, but they are spacious and exceptionally clean, with excellent mattresses on the queen size beds. It was very quiet. The location is central, on the small main street of Tofino, and five to ten minutes’ walk to wherever you wished to go in town. The staff are courteous and obliging, and accommodated our requests without hesitation. Tofino is a lovely little place and we have decided to return for a longer stay, especially knowing that accommodation like this is available.

My sister and I have stayed at many accommodations on our travels around the world and have never experienced such poor customer service as we did at this motel. We stayed in high season and it was one of the cheaper options that looked clean with a good location in Tofino. When we arrived we were informed we’d be charged a few hundred dollars if we connected our phone to the tv in our room? So odd and that was the first red flag. There was a strange substance clogging the locks on the doors so it automatically locked when the door was closed. The rooms were musty with no A/C so most occupants sat outside their rooms until it was necessary to sleep. One evening my sister and I had the door lock on us while sitting outside. No one was at the front desk and when we called the number provided, the caretaker came and was irate that he had to come unlock our door. I’ve never experienced such rudeness from someone in the hospitality business before. Being a Canadian, I feel embarrassed that other travellers from around the world who are visiting the beautiful area of Tofino might experience this type of poor hospitality while visiting this popular area in Canada.

Before you book a room in this motel please be very careful about giving them your credit card. My flight to Tofino BC was canceled on Sept 10th by Swoop and I called Priceline to cancel all my reservations for the car and Motel. I was supposed to check in on Sept 13th and canceled on Sept 10th. Even with a cancelation number, I was charged by this hotel for $207.64 dollars for one night. I called the hotel on the day I saw the charge and gave them the cancelation number but the person I spoke to was rude and said there was nothing they could do. I had given them 3 days' notice for cancellation. Their policy online about free cancelations is fake and I rather pay double the amount than go to this motel ever again. Check other reviews, please stay away from this motel. I am sure there are other poor victims out there who have been cheated by this motel.
