Lord Stanley Suites On The Park

This penthouse suite is an antiquated room with a free standing air conditioner with 24 hour traffic sound accompaniment. The room came with snacks from the previous occupant left on the rug (no charge), no ice in the freezer, a fridge that sounded like a dump truck shifting gears all night, and a mattress that felt like it had a 1960's hangover. The concierge was no where to be found at one point. We did express our extreme disappointment with the front desk on checking out and have not received the courtesy of a reply or discount. There are beautiful views all over Vancouver, save your money and book the Westin a block away for the same price.

The property is very well located. It is a 20 minute walk from Canada Place, a 10 minute walk to English Bay beach, only a short stroll to Stanley Park and there are lots of restaurants and a big supermarket nearby. It had everything that we needed including a full cooker, a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer even an iron and ironing board. The bed was very comfortable and the dining “cubicle” had lovely views over Coal Harbour. The only downside was that it was next to a 7 lane main road and there was a LOT of traffic noise. Fortunately I had taken my ear defenders with me and was therefore able to get a reasonably good night’s sleep.

We stayed at Lord Stanley for a family wedding. We were so happy with the suite! We loved that we had access to a full kitchen and laundry. We also were lucky enough to get a room facing Stanley Park and it was absolutely breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay at Lord Stanley Suites, location was amazing! Thank you to the wonderful staff.
