Whistler Peak Lodge

We booked this hotel because it was the best price for a private room with a private washroom in Whistler when we booked. It is very centrally located in Whistler Village which makes it perfect for walking around and getting to the gondolas to go up Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains. Many good restaurants, bars, shops and other conveniences are a short walk away. We were surprised how much we enjoyed the Whistler Village and even found quite a few quiet areas away from the crowds that were close to the hotel. The hotel has a few exits at different levels that can go to the lobby area, a garden area or right to the Whistler Village Stroll Street. Check in was relatively easy - we did arrive earlier than expected but they texted us as soon as our room was ready. The staff are friendly and helpful and can provide guides and recommendations for things to do and restaurants to eat at. Parking at the property is $40 CAD but you can park just across the street in some large parking lots for about 15-21 per day. Parking in the lot across the street is paid between 8 am to 5 pm and free outside of those hours. Whistler is very walkable but there are some things to see a short drive away. The room was better than we expected. We stayed in August when it was pretty hot and we were greeted with a nice cool room with a good portable air conditioning machine. The bed was comfy with multiple pillows and we got a pretty good night's rest both nights. The room was well equipped with a table, two chairs, large TV, fireplace, mini fridge, four burner stove, coffee machine, kettle, and all kinds of dishware and cookware. We appreciated that they also had paper towels, dish soap, dish cloths and a sponge. The shower had good pressure, it had a jacuzzi tub and they provided small bottles of bath products. It was mostly quiet during our stay and we got no outside noise but we did hear a few loud talkers in the hallway. There is a large ice dispenser which we used to fill up our water bottles for the day and ice our knees after all the hiking we did. Our room was also close to the fitness centre which was well equipped and rarely used when we stayed. We were happy with our choice and would recommend it for a no frills stay in a convenient location in Whistler.

The hotel staff name Zaldy provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. He is very friendly and responded quickly to our requests. Thank you so much you made us feel comfortable and feel welcomed.

Room was pretty nice but the bathroom was clearly uncleaned from the last guest. Lots of hair in the bath tub and when i later filled it with water a gross sludgy-viscousy fluid was floating around in the water. Other than the washroom it was a decent room
