Whistler Village Inn & Suites

We stayed at Whistler Village Inn & Suites during the summer, and unfortunately it didn’t live up to the expectations or the price we paid. The lobby and especially our room felt very dated. It seems the hotel is mainly focused on the winter ski season, while the rooms receive little attention during the summer months. We even joked that they had forgotten to put a bed in the room, but it turned out to be a small fold-out Murphy bed with a rather uncomfortable mattress. For the nightly rate, this was a real disappointment. Our room also included a kitchen, which we didn’t use, but it clearly looked like it could use a complete renovation as well. The location is excellent, and Whistler itself is a fantastic destination with plenty to do in both summer and winter. That’s exactly why it’s a shame that the accommodation doesn’t match the quality of the destination. Overall, the hotel feels overrated for the price. With some investment in the rooms, it could be a much better experience.

I would have expected a little more for the price. There was still a bottle left in the room from the previous guest. A somewhat strange smell in the hotel. The balcony was tiny and actually already full with the air conditioning unit. Very high parking fees; on top of that, we had to use the underground garage 3 hotels away because the hotel's own was full. The outdoor pool and hot tub area is clean and good.

Great location with excellent facilities and rooms. We were a group of 4 given two rooms next to each other. Ben at reception made us feel welcomed with his dry humour and friendly manner. Place has gym, spa, etc. Parking also available. Cant go wrong if you want to be right in the town with everything at your doorstep at very reasonable rates too.
