Wonderful experience at this property. Beautiful grounds with many spaces to sit and take it all in or go for a walk. Outstanding pool area. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Staff was top notch - couldn’t ask for better service or professionalism. Onsite bar and restaurant. Note that you must reserve well in advance to get into the restaurant as it’s very popular in the area. Regretting we didn’t do so and missed out. We stayed at 12 different properties while touring the Maritimes and this one stood out as exceptional. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Well done Rossmount!

Not going to lie, we were a little concerned about how the Rossmount experience would be without chef Chris and Graziella. We have been accustomed to their first rate cuisine and hospitality for many years. But we are happy to say our recent stay was wonderful. Excellent food, attentive staff, the familiar and restful accommodations. Clearly the new owners have given great thought into how to transition a gem like the Rossmount, and in our view they are succeeding beautifully. Highly recommend, as usual, that anyone looking for a first rate getaway in a peaceful corner of the world consider staying at the Rossmount. We are excited for their future, and eager to return.

Rossmount Inn was the first stop in New Brunswick during our road trip through the Maritime Provinces and was an auspicious start. It’s a historic property with lots of charm and gorgeous gardens and grounds. It was too chilly to consider using the swimming pool, though it looked inviting. The weather was mild enough though that we could enjoy sitting by the pool, as well as walking up the hill behind the hotel for the stunning views. It’s a short drive to the pretty harbor town of Saint Andrews. While there are plenty of restaurants in town, as well as a very good coffee shop (Honeybeans), we dined at the Rossmount both nights of our stay, and it was a wise decision. I‘ll review the restaurant separately, but suffice to say that it fully merits its elevated reputation. Being a historic building the rooms, and particularly the bathrooms, are small, however they’re comfortable and adequate. We had booked a room with a bay view. Ours was a corner room in front on the second floor and we were pleased with the view of the bay in the distance and the swimming pool on the other side. The rooms are all different and apparently the trade off for the view was the tiniest bathroom sink we ever saw. It was impossible to use it without splashing water all over the floor. There was also a small sitting area right outside our door and groups of people would gather there and talk loudly in the evening. One time a group had added chairs and we had to squeeze out of our room to get by since one chair was blocking our door. These are the main reasons that I would recommend a different room. I’m guessing that there might be a room on the third floor in the same position with a bay view that might not have the same issues. In any case, we’re still happy to have stayed here, and considering the modest cost it’s not a bad value for a place with so much character and an excellent restaurant.
