Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport

Not stayed here before. Had dinner - fish&chips that was somewhat below average. We had a very early morning flight which required us to get up around 2 am. We went to bed around 9 pm and around 10 pm we started hearing noise in adjacent room. Loud talking/almost yelling, loud tv, slamming doors and drawers. After about 30 minutes I called the front desk complaining-nothing improved. I waited another 15 to 20 minutes and recalled the front desk in frustration. They called the room again and the reprehensible noise finally stopped. By that time we were awake and got little sleep prior to our 2 am time to get up. You would think anyone staying in a Hilton airport hotel would behave, respect others not create bad situations as this. Of course the hotel cannot be held responsible-they eventually corrected the annoyance, apologized took 10% off my bill. I typically stay at Marriotts. They have a policy that the third strike you are out. Meaning if on the 3rd complaint the hotel will make you leave the property and no refund. Otherwise the hotel is just average. One positive aspect is that they serve dinner and offer 24 hour shuttle service to the airport.

The location and room is fine. That being said , it's the middle of nowhere. The front desk service is not good. But Even worse is the restaurant and so called bar. The service is absolutely atrocious and the food is mediocre at best. I had a cheeseburger without cheese.A mcdonald's burger would have been far better for a tenth of the price. The staff have zero concept of customer service

Nice hotel. Restaurant on sight with a decent breakfast. The only issue was the bathtub / shower took forever to drain.
