Admiral Digby Inn

This is our third stay at the Admiral Digby. It is located up the hill from Digby and it is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and every room is accessible from the parking lot. All the rooms are on the ground floor. Breakfast is offered at a discount! But the waitress is THE BEST! Michelle is friendly, efficient, and she has a great sense of humour. We enjoyed the food but mostly we enjoyed speaking with this lovely person.

Clean, comfortable and a great view. Ladies at front desk and upstairs in restaurant were awesome. About 4 minutes from Digby main drag.

We were appointed to room 5. Ground floor, spacious parking. That's where the good part stops. The lighting in the room was dim at best. I actually had to hold a flashlight so my wife could iron a blouse. There are NO grab handles by the toilet. I guess Canada doesn't support people with disabilities. The queen beds. Ah yes...the beds. The beds were as hard as the floor, yet the carpeting on the floor offered more comfort. This was our last stop visiting Prince Edward Island, and the following morning, taking the ferry to St. John, New Brunswick Province. Oh, to have a great night's sleep and be rested for the long drive home. If I slept a total combined 3 hours, we were lucky. Woke up with body pains, STIFFNESS, and so much hardness in the mattresses, it made it impossible to get comfortable. When we checked out, I was asked how our stay was. I told them about the horrid beds. "Oh, you were in room 5, eh? Well, we haven't updated the mattresses yet". Then, it was the walk upstairs to the restaurant. Had eggs over easy but they came out hard, the potatoes tasted more like salt than potato and even the sausages were too salty to eat. Would I ever stay here again? What do YOU think? NEVER AGAIN. So disappointing. Too disappointing.
