What a treat to stay in Digby in a suite with a great view and with excellent care! The balcony was inviting for relaxing and for watching the tide changes and the many boats in the harbour. The pretty fireplaces offered a bit of extra warmth and a colourful background. And the restaurant on site offered great meals.

Our family of three stayed for two nights while in the area for whale watching and really enjoyed our stay at the Fundy Complex Dockside Suites. The complex consists of a few buildings side-by-side on the waterfront, with a hotel, restaurant and lounge. There are a few hotel entrances depending on which room you're in. The front desk is only open certain hours, after which you go to the bar to check in or if you have any issues, but the bar workers don't work at the hotel. It all gets a little confusing but everyone is super nice and tries to help, so it works once you understand. Our afternoon check went without a hitch, though I was taken aback a bit when they turned the credit card reader back to me and asked if I'd like to leave a restaurant-style 10%, 15%, 20% tip for the front desk and housekeeping based on the total bill. I politely said I would leave cash in the room. The room itself was very nice and true to the pictures. We were in Room 44C, which shares a separate keyed lobby entrance with 44D. The room was spacious, clean and is obviously relatively new. The room is on the ground floor but since the property is slightly sloped, the back patio is on the second floor and affords a nice view of the waterfront. I believe the building has three floors of rooms. We had a rollaway bed for our third adult which sagged quite a bit but they replaced it for the second night. Some have commented about parking but we didn't have any issues. The hotel has a small lot across the street with several spots, but those fill quickly. Otherwise, you can park on the street and the hotel will give you a placard that allows you to leave the car overnight until 11am the next morning. All parking is free and we felt completely safe. We had a beer on the outdoor deck of the hotel restaurant but didn't eat there. The dinner menu looked pretty standard for the area and we thought were were better options elsewhere. I believe this is the only restaurant that serves breakfast but there is a small coffee shop with breakfast and baked goods a short walk away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would repeat.

We had Suite A, which had its own private entrance. It was spacious and clean and the balcony/view was amazing! The restaurant connected to the hotel was a great place for dinner. I recommend dropping some dollars on the scallop-stuffed lobster, which is their specialty.
