Holiday Inn Express Clarington

This was a perfect hotel for a weekend away. The price was reasonable and everything went well. We were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite, which was a nice touch. There was a lacrosse team staying there and I'm sure it just made sense to give us the jacuzzi suite, not them. Our fridge made a very loud high pitched humming noise, so we unplugged it for the weekend. We could have asked for a new one but didn't need a fridge. Breakfast both mornings was wonderful - eggs, potatoes, sausage, bagels, yoghurt, etc. The pancake machine was broken. We don't like pancakes but I'm sure some people would be upset about that. As I mentioned before there was a lacrosse team staying and I was happy to see a security guard for the overnight. I was also very happy to see they let the group use the breakfast area both evenings. It meant no screaming children in the hallways. Bowmanville is a very cute town and we will be back to visit more.

Nice stay. Warm reception and room was clean and well kept. The window a unit was noisy and windows don’t open. Pool was pleasant. Wish they had car charging stations. Would return.

Great spot so stay for an overnight in the area. Close to the 401 and restaurants as well as the downtown area. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Definitely will consider staying again when in the area.
