The room was clean, yes, but we had booked a suite. Unfortunately, these face the highway, and since the windows are not soundproof, it was very loud, so he advised us against it and offered a much smaller room instead. However, there was no refund. At the pool, there were no towels; only after we asked at the reception three times while soaking wet did we receive towels. In the room, the beds were not made, and I had to order fresh towels at the reception, as the maid does not provide any. Very strange.

The hotel is close to the airport and offers shuttle to and from the airport, but reservations are required in advance. We stayed in an apt with 2 Queen beds on the 1st floor which was quite small and had a horrible smell of chulé, I believe it is because the carpet is old or dirty. I smell really bad, from those hotels with old carpet (although I believe the hotel is relatively new). Small window and beds ok. The reservation was for 4 people only had 3 kits of towels. We had to ask for another kit and we were immediately treated. The hotel has a small sink, microwave, fridge bar and coffee maker. There is no room service or lunch and dinner service. Breakfast in a compact style, without many varieties, but offering the basics. Hotel is close to restaurants that you can walk if you want to dine. The front desk guys never smile. We seem to be bothering when you ask for information. The girls were more sympathetic. I do not recommend this hotel, for the bad smell of the room. It has an indoors pool that allows to relax.

Not the best Holiday Inn Express in which we've stayed. We booked months in advance yet when we arrived, very tired after hours of flying from Manchester, UK, we were given room 337, at the very end of an extremely long corridor. It turned out to have a connecting door to the room next door in which a gaggle of excited young girls were talking late into the night. We only fell asleep because of our exhaustion. One of those occasions when I envied my husband's deafness. The receptionist could see we are elderly (he is 80 next year) plus we booked months in advance yet still gave us this room. Poor customer care. The room was clean enough but I was too tired to take the usual photos. Our experience of the shuttle bus from the airport was poor - the driver didn't help lift our big suitcases into the minibus and allowed a young couple to push in front of us. We were lucky to get the last 2 seats. The driver also made us all wait for an unreasonable length of time while he advised a young tour guide how to reach her destination with her group - twice! Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express fare and the two staff on duty cleared up efficiently. We were surprised at how far this 'airport hotel' was from the airport and wouldn't stay in it again.
