My room was pilfered by hotel (probably cleaning) staff of some money. Clothes gone through, zipped pockets unzipped things in different places. AVOID. Was supposed to stay a week, left the AM after discovery of this

The hotel is Ok, it definitely needs an upgrade , but the worst parts are the people who work there, very unfriendly and the fact that they retain $500 deposit on your credit card for no reason after the room is paid for, 3 to 5 business days to give you your money back. I had travel the world, it is the first time I’ve had this happen. A credit card for expenses, sure but a $500 security deposit on a hotel room… please!

Location, nice overlooking Port Credit marina. Within 10 mins walk to Port Credit Go station for trips to Toronto, about 30 mins. Port Credit has a friendly village feeling with numerous coffee shops and eating establishments. Nice rooms, we had a 2 bed suite with the additional facilities offered. We advised before arrival only 2 persons travelling, the kitchen facilities were not adequate for more than 2 persons. (why would a hotel remove kitchen utensils?) No vending or tourist info in public areas. We travelled from UK and some local information would have been useful. With odd exception staff were not very engaging. It is expected that 'reception' staff in particular would be welcoming. Staff not happy in there work, and it shows.
