DOUBLETREE HOTEL RESORT SPA FALLSVIEW/NIAGARA FALLS

This establishment has semi-permanent residents that require numerous security guards to monitor them. Resturant was closed and service was poor.

My confirmed reservation was not honored. The hotel staff described it to me as “fake.” Being left without the accommodation I had legitimately booked was bad enough. Being spoken to in that manner made the experience humiliating and disruptive. This hotel demonstrated an alarming lack of contractual responsibility, professionalism, and basic respect for its guests. Travelers depend on hotels to honor confirmed bookings, not to disown them upon arrival and leave them to bear the consequences. An atrocious experience, I would not trust this property with another reservation.

Falls view is technically correct but the main view from the window is a large empty car park. The lobby is dark and not very welcoming. However the staff are great and very friendly especially those serving breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable but not worth C$330. The hotel is listed as a Hilton Resort which is a little strange. Car parking was an additional C$35 which was annoying because the hotel is not in the main tourist area. The hotel is literally surrounded by car parks. At least there was no resort fee.
