Terrible Standards for a Marriott property – A Disgusting Experience
I travel frequently for business and exclusively stay at Marriott properties. I know exactly what standards to expect, but this specific location in the Niagara Falls tourist trap feels more like a run-down motel than a reputable hotel.
Upon checking into our room, we were utterly grossed out. The shower walls were covered in left-behind body hair and what appeared to be bodily fluids (which stood out immediately since the hotel's shower products are completely clear). The shower floor was filthy and stained entirely brown. To make matters worse, the counters had not been wiped down, evidenced by sticky, spilled cola.
We immediately went to reception to remedy this. They sent someone to clean, who we believe was the housekeeping supervisor. She awkwardly tried to excuse the filth by stating she was off the day before. It is incredibly telling that if one supervisor has a day off, the hotel's quality and cleanliness completely go out the window. While the room was touched up, the shower floor remained brown. The dirt is deeply engrained—something a basic scrubbing with baking soda and vinegar could easily fix if anyone actually cared to maintain the property.
The staff explicitly promised they would "do something to help with the bill" to compensate for this ordeal. Yet, at check-out three days later, absolutely no discount or consideration had been applied. We had to approach the counter ourselves just to ask if they were even aware of what happened.
In response, they removed three days of parking fees. Not only is parking usually free at other Marriotts, but this felt like a cheap deflection. This is clearly part of the price-gouging typical of this tourist area.
The parking fee was never the issue. The real issue was the biohazard conditions of our room, and we felt completely unheard. When I asked the agent if removing a parking fee was truly the best they could do for a loyal member (3% of a three day bill), she just smiled blankly and offered no response.
Save your money. This hotel lacks basic Marriott standards, lacks empathy, and offers zero real accountability.

This hotel was a disappointment. Highlights: free parking, easy access to River Road, breakfast provided and welcoming staff. Disappointments: The walls were very thin - we could hear the conversation, tv, and movement of our "next door" neighbors. We had a suite with a separate bedroom and we couldn't reach into the whole closet because of the way it was positioned next to the bedside table. There was a safe which was impossible to completely open because it hit the door of the closet. The bathroom had been cleaned, but the floor was still dirty. There are many choices in Niagara Falls, I would choose another place in the future.

Nicely renovated and clean. Included breakfast in morning was great. Pool, fitness and outside lounge facilities were great. Located a bit away from the action, but WEGO bus stop is just outside and is a great solution to getting around without a car. VIA/GO station is also very close. Only things I'll note is that if the hotel offers 24/7 coffee (which it does), it should also offer milk and cream (24/7), not just at breakfast. It's a bit of a funny gesture to offer free coffee all day without milk and cream. Also the walls are paper thin, you can hear full conversations from the room next door (not ideal).
