Residence & Conference Centre - Niagara-on-the-Lake

Good for a reasonable cost stay in the Niagara Area. It's dorm rooms so bring a microvable cup or container to reheat any item in the microwave.

We have been going to this hotel on and off for the last twelve years. It’s well placed and there are outlets next to it. I have to admit that for the first time, we found that it looks rundown. It didn’t look as cleaned as it did before. In the past, they were two rooms with double beds. It’s now one room with a double beds and one room with two bunk beds. Those beds were not done at arrival, we had to make them. They are not the simplest to access. Only one room as a tv. We were missing a lightbulb. We asked for a new one but the new one didn’t fit. The person at the front desk was not friendly. Her colleagues were more professional. Parking is easy. It’s easy to access and it’s affordable. They clearly need to make some updates. As I understand that it is a student residence at the base, the switch to bunk beds is not a wise decision for the summer hotel.

You need to update your photos. One of the two rooms in the suite now has bunkbeds which are not suitable for older adults. I found climbing on the metal supports very uncomfortable on my feet and the handholds are not easy. The bunkbed rooms do not have a screen or lamp suitable for reading in bed. It was VERY disappointing after enjoying this facility for almost 10 years. The facility should consider locking these bunkbed rooms and renting the single 3/4 bed for a better price.
