Embassy Hotel & Suites Ottawa

My family and I stayed in a bachelor suite with two queen beds and a kitchenette for 3 njghts. Overall, our stay was comfortable and met our needs. Our room was very clean, spacious and well-kept. Everything was newly renovated and in good working order. The kitchenette had a full sized fridge, stove and microwave, and it was stocked with utensils as well as a couple pots and pans. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to several great restaurants on Elgin Street, a Farm Boy location, a Rexall, and a few coffee shops. Parliament Hill was about a 10-12 min walk away. The hotel is located in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood and it was easy to drive in and out to get to different sites within the city, even during rush hour. All of the staff that we interacted with were helpful and professional. We were lucky to get a room with a functional central AC that cooled the room perfectly during the 35 deg+ heatwave. (Some rooms apparently have portable AC units.) However, the AC unit was a bit too loud for our liking and disrupted our sleep. We ended up getting earplugs as a workaround. Parking was also a minor annoyance. The hotel didn't have any parking spaces available the first night we were there, so we ended up parking at Ottawa City Hall which was a five min walk away. It wasn't a bad alternative, but it would have been more convenient to keep our car on-site with in and out privileges. We were able to get a parking spot in the underground garage the second night. It was very tight and small--fortunately, we have a smaller car that could fit, but anyone with a large SUV or truck would probably have issues. Overall, for the price that we paid, we were happy with our stay. The hotel has a few quirks, but we would consider staying here again because of its central location.

I visited CANADA for 13 days, with 10 different hotels, and this is not only the worst but is UNJUSTIFIABLE in terms of CLEANLINESS, SERVICE, BREAKFAST, and WELCOME; it is embarrassing, a hostel in Siberia is definitely more welcoming.
