Days Inn And Conference Centre Timmins

Dive hotel, definitely outdated with stains, strange smells… parking was under construction when we were there so had to park around the corner and walk with our stuff…. Very seedy area lots of homeless begging…. Definitely would not return especially since the price was quite expensive for what it was…. The only good thing was that the staff were lovely!

On a long road trip, I booked this hotel for a quick night’s rest with my family, as the pictures online looked nice. It was not the most economical place, but we wanted a comfortable, nice place to rest. We were sorely disappointed by the exterior and interior of this hotel. The outside looked like an old rundown hospital with poorly kept windows, curtains, and exterior. The inside check in desk area had very dirty old carpeting, smelled odd, the parking garage was falling apart, had spray foam insulation and construction materials strewn throughout, despite it being a closed garage with a gate, we did not feel as though our belongings were safe down there. The room was very average, smelled of strong cleaning supplies or air fresheners. We stopped quickly at breakfast before leaving the next day and it was very average. The pictures on the website and online are very deceiving. The staff however, were nice. I would NOT stay here again. I wish I would have booked the Holiday Inn across the street instead or elsewhere.

I have read the reviews and many of them are quite harsh. To be honest, I don’t agree. This is not the best hotel. I’vestayed at and it’s certainly not the worst. I travel for work a lot and stay in many hotels. The hotel industry is not what it used be. We all have lowered expectations. I stayed at the senator because this was the hotel that our company booked for us, the ladies at the front desk (day and afternoon) could not have been more welcoming and gracious. Cleaning staff, as well as both ladies in the breakfast room or fabulous. Very kind. My room was quite large by today’s standards. The bed was firm and very comfortable. I’ve actually been sleeping. The room has been kept clean in the heat and water are perfect. Best of all the rooms are quiet at night. I will be staying here again.
