The Ivy at Verity

A gorgeous hidden sanctuary. Big, comfortable , beautifully decorated rooms. Kind of disappointed we have plans in the city as I would stay for a retreat. Attached to the Michelin star George restaurant, look forward to breakfast in bed. Only 4 rooms in this boutique hotel. World’s most comfortable bed. Huge bath which feels like a spa in itself. We decided to make this our go-to Toronto hotel. Friendly kind staff. Since it’s attached to a women’s club, the gym and facilities are for women only, however the rooms and restaurant, men are welcome. Not kidding when I say a “hidden” gym. This is a little slice of peace and tranquility. The type of room you want to staycation in.

We stayed at The ivy at Verity, the staff were very accommodating, they recommended food and places to visit. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, totally faultless. The beauty of this place is it was in a quiet location with no noise at all. With it being a boutique hotel it meant there was no corridor noise, no doors banging it was so peaceful. Each room had it’s own balcony and we were served breakfast everyday which would be left outside your door at 8.00 am so as not to disturb you.

This sweet hotel is in a former chocolate factory. It has only 4 rooms. The room was large with a balcony. The bed was the most comfortable and most expensive bed I have ever slept in. The location is fantastic. There are many fine restaurants in the area. We were not able to eat at their restaurant ..the George as it is closed on Sunday and Monday. The breakfast delivered to your room was fantastic. The hotel has great security.
