I usually don’t write reviews but I hope to protect people from the experience we had. Left BC at 4am and travelled all day to arrive at this hotel at midnight so too exhausted to leave and find another hotel. The lobby had torn and warn furniture….looked like a bad hotel in India. Our room was dark and we needed a flashlight on our phone to find a light that worked. Awful patched hole in ceiling; window looked out to a room full of cardboard boxes; 20 yrs worth of dust behind bed; dust on shelves in bathroom and bathroom door grossly dirty. Too disgusting to have a bath as the bath is covered in mold. I would not take my socks off. Woke up with a rash on my belly. Honestly expected to see roaches or rats in the room! This was truly in my 58 yrs of travelling the grossest place I have ever stayed and I have been to very remote places in the world of absolute poverty. The breakfast matched the room. Couldn’t eat the sausage or bacon. The only win was great coffee. Do yourself a favour and find another place. Couldn’t upload all the photos…..believe me and the others who have posted pictures!

A strong 4 stars, would give 4.5 if I had the choice. It is a hot breakfast with nice waffle maker, homefries, eggs, and bacon, not a continental breakfast which was a huge bonus. They had a lot of extra amenities like a safe in the room, lots of storage space, microwave, and full size ironing board. The place is a bit dated, but still feels fancy and nice. If you like older style places you will really enjoy this, if you enjoy modern hotels you are going to find this place old and probably will not enjoy it. It still had a TV with Netflix and USB ports, so they have mostly kept up to date. The only reason I would not put 5 stars is some of the staff were difficult to talk to and they did not have any regular coffee for the rooms (Did have some 24/7 in the breakfast room) and no hair conditioner. No deal breakers, but enough not to warrant a perfect 5 stars.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Pay the deposit in cash and claim a receipt so you can show to get money back when check out. Staff was polite but ignorant. Breakfast was awful, the lady in charge couldn't say good morning, and played loud music. The options to eat was abysmal and below standard. My room was awful, 70s want back the interior and smell, and AC didn't work. 2 full days they "tested" the fire alarm with it going off every 5th minute so you couldn't stay at the room to relax. The staff had no idea or gave any information about the "test". On top of that I found a blood sucking bedbug on the bathroom floor. I got a new room, and behold the AC worked and no smell. The staff said they needed to get someone to fix my old room for bugs, instead they let someone else have it after I switched room. So go there on your own risk.
