Rodd Mill River Resort

We recently stayed at Mill River Resort during our cycling trip across Prince Edward Island, and the staff's kindness and hospitality made it one of the most memorable stops of our journey. The evening we arrived, we had been caught in a severe thunderstorm with heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds. By the time we reached the resort, we were completely soaked. The front desk receptionist immediately welcomed us inside and even invited us to bring our bikes into the lobby. From there, the staff went above and beyond anything we could have expected. Someone came to wipe down our bikes and safely store them, while housekeeping was called back to help dry all of our wet cycling gear as we headed to dinner. When we returned to our rooms, all of our clothing was clean, dry, and ready for the next day's ride. The care and compassion shown by everyone at Mill River Resort were truly exceptional. They turned what could have been a miserable evening into one we'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful for their outstanding hospitality and will be telling everyone about our experience. Great course in great condition. Played from blues which made it very sociable. Greens are wide as are the fairways . Plenty of picturesque water hazards and well maintained bunkers. Proshop welcomimg and well stocked. Good driving range and restaraut overlooks 18th green. Mosquitoes came out to feed after 8pm so bug spray necessary. Would highly recommend the trip up to Mill River. A five star course on the Island

We did a family staycation for March break this year, and booked a cottage for several nights at Mill River. The cottage was lovely. The pool experience was not. The pool temperature was very cold. One of our children is a toddler; within 5-10 minutes of using the pool, his lips would turn blue and we'd need to exit the pool. This was a very disappointing way to spend March break. We later learned some of the pool equipment had broken weeks-months beforehand and had yet to be repaired. We noted staff checking pool temperatures, and if you're familiar with taking care of pools, seemed to not be done in a way that would get an accurate reading so posted temperatures seemed unreliable. We communicated our concerns to staff, including some management, both in-person and by email but eventually they stopped responding to our messages. After this experience, I am uncertain if I will ever return.
