The location is fine, the rooms are clean, and the young staff are decent. However, the hotel's practices are unacceptable: you are forced to pay a security deposit of several hundred dollars (in fact, the entire reservation, even if you have already paid!), and this "deposit" is held by the hotel for almost 15 days before finally being refunded after numerous reminders (a waste of time): unacceptable practices under the guise of security. All this after, of course, leaving a reasonable amount for the staff tip...in short, a unique situation during our entire stay in Canada and a deal-breaker for this establishment.

Inn with old-fashioned but comfortable decor. Cozy atmosphere. Quiet location but close to downtown Ottawa, perfect for exploring on foot. Quick and no-fuss check-in; we didn't see our host for the rest of our stay. Tasty breakfast.
