cash machine! the evening menu is designed to overload extras; at the end of the meal we hasten to give you an invoice for these extras insistently that a tip should be added. Surreal show at the cash register where the attendant requires everyone to pay the extra and the corresponding tip. The Quality of food at the dinner is deplorable and is like a construction kitchen. The chef would do well to train in cooking. The hotel facilities are outdated and do not match what one would expect given the rate charged. Only positive: the site is spectacular.

I was really disappointed with my choice of hotel for my first visit to the Island. It smelled so bad in the room. I chose a room in one of the pavilions, because I wanted access to the terrace. It cost me $354.20 for one night and lunch, which turned out to be very ordinary. It smelled like moisture and mold. It was sickening. I complained and there was no room available. They installed an AirWick diffuser to mask the smell. It was even worse! Two bad smells!! These buildings should be destroyed. They're completely rotten. I would even say dangerous to your health. Besides, they are not soundproof at all. You could hear the people in the rooms next door. Very bad experience. I was very happy to have booked only one night. Never again! (And I wasn't compensated.)

Passing through this randomly selected place of our wanderings towards Lake Saint Jean, we made an overnight stopover at this hotel restaurant. For those who read my comments, they know that I like to be factual, and as accurate as possible. What makes this place the strongest is its natural setting, laid on the banks of the river. The colors of the bedtime, the calming of the place make it despite the hotel itself a precious stone in a natural setting. A bucolic setting that would not have been denied by 19th century romantic writers. Unclassifiable I thought of Hugo in exile in Jersey exercising his pen in front of this impressionist scenery where the power of nature gives its full measure. A few trees on the rock, a garden of Hobbit, and the slowness of the river flowing like a temporal metronome. This decor there I buy. Especially as far as the hosting itself is concerned, it’s a bit old, but it keeps many amenity features. Swimming pools (plural), mini golf, and a games room for the family. Rooms with a slightly outdated character, but comfortable But it is really a special mention for the restoration that I want to note. The team as a whole makes sure that you eat very well, that the dishes without being ultra sophisticated are really well executed , the sommelier advises well, and the Service although disordered shows the unity of a team that knows itself and contributes to the pleasure of the moment. In short, we saw an unusual decor, we slept properly, and in addition we ate well. The unexpected sweetness of life justifies the rating I usually give to the palaces where I stay.
