Quality Inn Matane

Good hotel but be cautious when booking suite. We had no choice but to stay in one which had no dining table , no kitchenette even though the photos were clearly stating This suite has Kitchenette. The front desk agent said there pictures are not appropriate on website as every suite has something else and to call. We usually don’t call the hotel when already booked. So instead we had a sofa with big room and nothing in it except tv and microwave . Very dark room as the windows are very high only in the adjustment room . Otherwise the staff is nice, breakfasts is good and the little resto is good too.

Nice room, clean and cozy. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Excellent food and good Lounge Mood. Note that the fridge in the room does not have a freezer compartment, which we would have liked to place our ice packs there. Excellent lunch included in the price (hot and cold buffet). We will return without hesitation.

This was my first stay at a Quality Inn in Canada, and I was pleasantly surprised. In the US, Quality Inns tend to be old, well-worn hotels that were probably very nice back in 1972. In Canada, both this and another Quality Inn where I recently stayed were nice, new, very clean hotels. We stayed here because we were taking the ferry the next morning. My room was large, very comfortably fitting a Queen Bed and sofa. The bed was firm, which I found very comfortable. There is an elevator for bringing your bags to the second floor. Both the evening and morning staff working at the front desk were friendly. The air conditioning was a little loud when it would first start, but it kept the room comfortable. My room faced the street but there was no problem with noise. I’m sure the rooms that face the rear are even quieter. Breakfast buffet was included and was good with a nice selection. I was also able to charge my car for free overnight. Overall I’d say this was a very nice hotel.
