Riotel Matane Hotel

Our bus tour group stopped here for 2 nights recently and were very happy with this hotel. Well appointed rooms with friendly staff. The restaurant service and food was very good. Great fish and chip dinner with a nice view of the water.

A surprisingly wonderful stay! We booked for one night on our way to Perce, and it was perfect. Situated on a shingle beach, the hotel has a back patio beach adjacent with lounge chairs and two fire pits (with plenty of firewood). We took a refreshing dip in the Sound, but you could also use either the indoor or outdoor pool. There’s also a small gym (with weights) and a jacuzzi. The restaurant is terrific and both hotel and restaurant staff were exceptionally helpful. Our first floor room opened onto the car park, but this turned out to be convenient for us. All in all, a great experience.

Very disappointing; they have wood fires in the back and it comes into the room. Very uncomfortable; I was on the river side, the windows were very dirty, no wine glasses in the rooms, the indoor pool water was cold, and also the restaurant seating was very cramped and too close to each other; you are better seated at St. Hubert, and it is not a restaurant!!
