Blueberry Lake Resort

People Beware of the owner of the Blueberry lake Resort and its Owner. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this resort and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking, especially if you're planning a family trip. The property was in a very poor state of maintenance. The rooms and common areas appeared unhygienic, dusty, and as though they hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time. We also found bugs on the bed and throughout the cottage, which made it impossible for us to sleep comfortably throughout the night. When we reported the issue, our concerns were not addressed or resolved. One of the biggest disappointments was the so-called "lake." It was nothing like the pictures or description. Instead of a clean, scenic lake, it resembled a stagnant swamp with dirty, murky water, which completely ruined the atmosphere. The owner's behavior made the experience even worse. We found him to be rude, unprofessional, and overly intrusive. The large number of surveillance cameras around the property made us feel uncomfortable and constantly watched instead of relaxed. After we complained about the bugs and cleanliness, rather than addressing the issues, the owner began accusing us of violating various cottage rules. From our perspective, these complaints were unexpected and appeared to arise only after we raised concerns about the condition of the property. This made the entire experience feel confrontational and stressful. During our stay, the owner also repeatedly demanded additional payments for services or items that we did not request or use. When we questioned these charges, the discussion became hostile, and we were told that the police would be called if payment was not made immediately. This left us with very little confidence in how guest concerns and billing were handled. Overall, this was one of the most unpleasant accommodation experiences we have had. Between the poor hygiene, bugs, misleading presentation of the property, unresolved complaints, and the way we felt we were treated, we would not recommend this resort to others—especially families. Stay away from booking this property.

**One of the worst chalet experiences – absolutely avoidable** We were a group of 16 hoping to have a great time together, but our stay in this cottage was a real disappointment from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we noticed a glaring lack of basic items: not enough toilet paper, no roll of paper towels, no extra garbage bags... For a group of this size, this is not only unacceptable, but totally careless. The most disturbing shock: we learned *on the spot* that it was forbidden to throw toilet paper in the toilet. Instead, we had to throw everything in a garbage can. For 16 people, this is a recipe for an extremely unhealthy situation, with no alternatives planned or frequent pick-up service. The communication with the owner was frankly unpleasant. No listening, no openness or willingness to accommodate anything. Every question was met with coldness or annoyance. In addition, hidden costs began to accumulate as soon as we arrived: for trivial details, we were literally threatened with being kicked out if we did not pay immediately. The pressure was undue and stressful. Another important point: access to the lake, beach and outdoor activities promised on the site does not exist. We had to ask other holidaymakers to pass through their grounds to simply go to the waterfront. As for the advertised “beach”, it was just an old broken wooden dock, with rusty screws sticking out—a real danger. No swimming pool, no volleyball court either, contrary to what was stated. In short, this cottage is a scam disguised as a vacation rental. Everything is done to make you pay as much as possible, without offering any service, without respect or concern for your well-being or safety. I strongly recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a pleasant stay

We had a long weekend with 3 generations of family attending. We were on a lake and the weather was perfect. The changing colour of the leaves was reflected on the calm water creating the best memories. Access to 2 kayaks was appreciated due to the unusual warm temperature we experienced at the end of September. The super clean and welcoming hot tub was the icing on the cake at the end of the day. The dining table had 14 comfortable chairs, an ideal spot to celebrate a birthday. The bathrooms were clean and had been renovated recently. Everything looked clean and modern. Three large sofas in the living room were perfect to watch TV or the fireplace. Beds were nice and firm - not a valley to be seen!! Having 2 full fridges was a real plus for all of us for so many days. Lots of parking for all our cars. We have stayed at other locations in the Tremblant area but found this to be the best. Will be visiting again in the future.
