We had the opportunity to stay in Montreal for one night. After researching several places, we ended up choosing Auberge de La Fontaine and are glad we did! It was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location with exceptional service. The building and neighborhood was charming, the room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We drove from Michigan, almost a ten hour drive, so we did not arrive until 9pm. The woman at the front desk was very kind and accommodating. We had a truck that was too big to fit in their typical spots, so she gave us a card to park in their 15 minute temporary parking out front for the night. After getting settled my husband wished her a good night and she told him she was actually only scheduled until 7. She stayed and waited an extra two hours for us to arrive! Very kind. We really enjoyed our stay and our visit to Montreal. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Well placed close to the MontRoyal neighborhood that we love but we had already been there 15 years and nothing seems to have moved in 15 years (and that is not positive). We were upgraded and had a suite whose living area included an out-of-age sofa and a Jacuzzi of the same age in the bedroom. One day we take a great walk and go back to our room to be cool and it was more than 27 in the room (25 outside), air conditioning that heats up thoroughly and radiator burning. We inform the reception after lowering the thermos a few degrees. The lady from the reception comes into the room and thinks we are idiots saying that the air conditioning must be 5 degrees because it is managed centrally... yes but we never raised the temperature and the day before it was good in our room... in short questionable attitude. Overall we had a better memory of the hotel as well as the welcome and were overall disappointed

I stayed 5 nights with a friend in a room with 2 double beds and it was perfect! The hotel is located close to Mont-Royal which is for me the best area of Montreal. Breakfast is friendly and the staff is friendly like all Canadians by the way:-)
