Auberge de la Place Royale

Excellent hotel! Perfect location! Really close to everything Old Montreal offers.. Manager is VERY helpful. I had an unpleasant situation with customer service prior to checking in, but after speaking with the manager everything was resolved. If I go to Montreal again I will definitely stay at this hotel

This beautiful B&B in old Montreal has always been a favorite of my husband and myself . I tried contacting them recently to book a room for our upcoming weekend visit but never got a response back. I found their page on fb and discovered that they have closed. so sad! I will miss the Arberge and the owners. Good luck to them on tbeir future endeavors.

I arrived on a snowy evening in January and was greeted warmly by the staff at the Auberge. Check-in is no fuss and they give your keys and a code to the front door. Note: this is not a traditional hotel with a concierge but instead an old home that has been converted into a lovely hotel. There are slippers thoughtfully by the stairs so you can remove your snowy/muddy boots and leave them downstairs. The floors in the rooms are sparkling and the rooms are very large. The Auberge is across from the river and very near incredible walks through the old city and the Pointe-à-Callière museum. If you're hungry but don't want something heavy. Le Petit Dep is nearby and has lots of healthy items you can grab and take with you. If you do go in January, don't miss the Igloofest on the River!
