We had a wonderful time in Montreal, and enjoyed the staff and comfort of Lofts du Vieux Port. The property is well located and offers everything you need as a home base to explore Montreal for the first time. Staff at the Auberge check-in were very friendly and helpful providing basic directions and recommendations. As others have mentioned the stairs to the Lofts may be an issue for some with mobility challenges. The bathroom could have used some hangers for towels but otherwise very nice - loved the shower and amenities! The kitchen had everything we needed although a sharper knife would have been appreciated. overall, wonderful!

A mixed experience at Loft 700. Here is a summary of the key points Positive Points: •The loft is well-located near various activities. •The staff was very kind and helpful. Negative Points: •The absence of screens allows insects, like butterflies, to enter during ventilation. •The coffee cups were dirty, with traces of lipstick. •Only one set of towels for two people, but we received additional towels after reporting the issue. •Sudden temperature changes in the shower can cause discomfort. •The sofa was in an unsatisfactory state of cleanliness. •The bed was way too soft.

We checked into their main hotel which is Auberge Du Vieux-Port. The Porter from this hotel then takes your bags and walks you one block up to the "Lofts" building. This property has lots of charm and history. The old wood beams and the thick stone walls added to this fun experience. The Loft we stayed in is located on the 2nd floor and we did not have a problem with the street noise or the constant movement of people. To me it was a beautiful view from our windows people watching, and looking at the other old buildings in the area. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you would require to cook any meal there. If you don't feel like cooking all of their restaurants had great meals with lots of options to choose from. The washroom has a beautiful rain shower head that was perfect after a lot of walking to relax in. We were located one block north of Rue St. Paul which is a hub of pedestrian traffic. Everything was centrally located for us. Bleze L the front desk supervisor made sure to answer all our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend the Lofts or the Auberge Du Vieux-Port to anyone looking for romance, Central location in historic old Montreal.
