For your safety please book a different hotel. You would expect a big chain like Quality Inn would be a safe option for college students traveling over a long weekend. Think again. My two friends and I were staying at this location for one night and were awoken at 7:30 in the morning by a male hotel staff member trying to break into the room. We had put the “do not disturb” sign on the door before going to bed (even though room service was not provided unless requested) and locked the metal latch. When I tell you this was FBI style, full body slamming into the door to get in I am not exaggerating in the slightest. I immediately hopped out of bed and ran over to the door where his arm was already making its way through the opening. Keep in mind the ID on file for the room was for a young, blonde female, so when I (a man) opened the door he was unmistakably taken aback. He wore no name tag, only an employee shirt, and there was no sign of a cleaning cart. I asked what he was doing and he said the room was supposed to be vacant. Strange because if it were you would have had record of us checking out of your establishment and the latch on the door wouldn’t have been locked. He apologized for “the disturbance” and quickly walked away. I have never experienced anything like this before, especially not at a hotel like this with good reviews. We couldn’t have packed up faster. Later in the day I called the hotel demanding an answer for why this happened and what the name of the employee was. Neither question was answered as the woman on the line told me he was checking to make sure the room was empty for the next guest occupying the space. Check out is always at 11:00 so what explanation does that give me? She refused to give me the name of the employee as well. Needless to say I am furious and will be finding a way to get my money back. Stay away from whatever scheme this business is running.

There is absolutely no soundproofing at this hotel, you can hear the neighbors of rooms as if the walls were sheets of paper... Horrible. No way to sleep well when people make noise at night, the cleaning staff is very loud when they make the rooms and a receptionist totally disrespects and judgment towards guests who have been harmed at this hotel.

Good location in within walking distance of the old town, St Catherine's Street and other areas. Room was in the basement to quite dingy, small window that overlooked the bins so not possible to leave blinds open. Room was basic but clean and bed comfortable. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was very basic and wooden knives and forks with paper plates sets the basic standard, Omelette's look like they were heated from frozen, bread very cheap etc. and limited choice, coffee from reception was the highlight! Would not stay there next time.
