Hotel Visitel

Adriana's hotel/Airbnb was exactly what I hoped for and exceeded my expectations. Her communication is amazing. I have never had a host respond so quickly before. The hotel itself is described as a two-star - but it exceeds its two stars. Safety-wise, the front door is locked at all times (you have your own key), there is a locked door to the staircase (you have a passkey), and of course, your room is locked (also with a passkey). The location is smack dab in the middle of the Plateau, Downtown, Old Montreal and the Gay Village. The Berri Metro is a five minute walk away - and as a central station can take you anywhere in the city. There is indoor parking across the street that costs $10 per night during the week and $13 per night during the weekend. I don't think that can be beat downtown anywhere. Adriana met me at the door when I checked in and showed me my room. She is wonderfully helpful, hardworking and very nice. I was in #402 which is a long climb up the stairs (there is no elevator) but it was worth it. The room was huge. Hardwood floors. Okay bathroom. Comfortable bed (I can't remember if it was a double or a Queen, but it was very comfortable. A fridge. And a TV with lots of channels. Also the AC is SUPERB! I'd say this hotel is perfect for singles and couples!

We booked hotel Visitel under booking.com. The original room was on the street side and it was a little bit noisy. After we talked to the front desk, they are very happy to switch the room for us overnight. Very nice staff, small and cozy room, fantastic location: close to metro, Greyhound station, city bike location and close to a lot of great restaurants. Relatively old building and supplies, but can't complain too much about such a good location. Not a big fan with the bed, but it was not too bad. We enjoyed our stay.

Located a few steps from the Berri Metro station. Clean comfortable room with friendly service from the front desk staff. Double bed is on the small side and you do hear some noise from the adjoining rooms.
