BEST WESTERN PLUS HOTEL LEVESQUE

The hotel looks a little rough from the outside but the interior is clean, new and well kept.

Location was okay. Just found it was a very average hotel with less than stellar service. If I didn't have a chemistry background I may have though the pool was nice...and the area and atmosphere in the indoor pool was nice, but the water was awfully strongly chlorine scented indicating a problem with organic contamination. Restaurant food was mediocre, especially for the price and service. So don't bother. Go out to eat. The room was okay. The bed was quite low to the floor by 2026 standards and exceptionally soft - EXCEPTIONALLY soft. Not back friendly.

I have booked the Levesque hotel as practical intermediate stop on my route through Canada. Ideally situated right next to the "Fleuve Saint-Laurent" it is worthwhile even a longer stay than just a night. Big car park in front and the rear of the hotel. Very bright and big reception next to a Starbucks café in-house of the hotel. I very much liked the amazing room as spacious (could unfold my big suitcase, finally) and lovely decorated. On top, as shown in one of the pictures, my as well as other room(s) have seaside view which made the short stay even more convenient. The gym is quite OK, one may also have access to the Wellness area including Sauna for 30 CAD. Overall, I was very satisfied. Remark: I faced issues with booking on the hotel page as there appeared to be a bug (No taxes added) which I didn't control, obviously, as tourist. Check that the amount you will be charged on-site equals the one you agreed to, to avoid discussions, mails and phone calls, as I was exposed to, after Check-out.
