Hotel close to everything and with good value for money.

The room was spacious enough for our family of four, and we appreciated the included hot breakfast. I seldom write negative reviews but there are serious concerns about guest safety especially for families and female travellers at this hotel premise given how a serious incident was handled for others' awareness and warning. On checkout morning, we experienced verbal harrassment and assault from a guest staying next to our room with repeated vulgar, abusive, overt racist remarks, and gender-based slurs in front of young children frightening them when we walked past him. What was disappointing was that this distressing incident was also witnessed by numerous hotel staff, including kitchen and housekeeping staff, yet no one intervened. We also reported it to the front desk immediately but left feeling unsafe and unsupported beside a customary apology that it happened to our family. We have since submitted a formal report and email to the hotel management and will see how the hotel reviews its procedures for handling guest safety and discriminatory behaviour.

Stayed here over a long weekend to participate in a nearby sports tournament. The ground floor room was excellently sized - we'd have been easily able to fit more of us onto the sofa bed option should we have wanted to. The main bed was a huge King, larger than we were anticipating but muchly grateful for. The room wasn't well featured for a suite - a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker present but a paucity of either cutlery or crockery (although a comprehensive list available of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel). The bathroom had a "jack & jill" twin set of doors indicating that it's intended to be useable by multiple people sleeping between the main lounge area, and the bedroom - and was well supplied with towels for this. Housekeeping happened on a slightly erratic basis during our stay - one day saw the bed remade and all towels changed, another just the towels (none of which had been left out for changing). Breakfast was a small selection of both hot & cold options, with hot drinks from insulated dispensers that ran out quickly and were never very hot to start. The hotel is very much located to be accessible from the major roads nearby, and isn't otherwise "close" to anything of note - but we had no difficulty being able to get a taxi to or from the hotel.
