Northwoods Inn & Suites

Closed until they rectify the more than 60 health and safety violations. From CBC News, "The inspection revealed raw sewage seeping through floors and ceilings, bugs crawling out of electrical outlets and suites turned into firetraps by blocked exits."

Room was very updated , clean , quiet, convenient area with bus transit ,right in front of hotel . It had fast wifi which was great as I used it for work reports . Would recommend this hotel to my friends, coworkers and family and definitely stay there again !

We checked into this motel after booking it through Hotel One. There was a bit of a smell in it, but we put it down to cleaning products. When we returned to our room after dinner my room mate found a live cockroach sitting on the tv stand! She captured it in a plastic baggie while I called the front desk. We were offered a room two doors down, and were told that the room had been sprayed just 2 days ago (doubtless what we smelled). We refused that room thinking it would be just the same, and were offered one in another wing. Needless to say we checked the room carefully - and - you guess it - found another live cockroach! We asked for our money back, but were told they could not refund us as it had been booked on line. Subsequent calls to Hotel One also failed to secure a refund. Needless to say we did not stay there, and decided to continue our trip that evening.
