Hotel Solace

The Solace hotel is a recommendable standard tourist / business hotel close to the center of Puerto Varas. I had a junior suite which was quite spacious with a nice view over the city. The rooms were functional and well equipped, the bathroom as well. Breakfast also was o.k., in a large room not too charming, which was also used as restaurant in the evening. One word of caution for those who can not walk well: the hotel is on top of a small hill - not too far down to the city, maybe 5-7 minutes walk, but quite steep, which may cause problems for some.

This hotel is on a hilltop above the lake. No view of the lake or volcano. And not near any restaurants. Several options for eating in town, plus walk along the lake are within walking distance. Rooms are small, as is the bathroom and shower, but all are adequate and clean. They opened breakfast 15 minutes early for us so we could make the Cruce Andino lakes crossing pick up at 7:20 am. And it was quite nice; not extensive but all quite good. And the staff were friendly.

Well located city hotel on a hill with beautiful views. Down to the sea in 10 minutes. Room good standard. Breakfast okay. Staff friendly. Highly recommended for a stopover.
