Awesome experience! Beautiful hotel! The staff made it even better just by their kindness. I have to name Christian and say how kind and helpful he was to us. Probably the most kind helpful and person we met on our entire trip to South America. We loved this stay so much

The hotel is a historic place in Punta Arenas. They are special hotel rooms (ours) in which you feel comfortable. Good beds nice staff and good breakfast. The hotel is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. I can highly recommend the hotel with its beautiful conservatory (bar).

We are staying here one night in downtown Punta Arenas in a former 1890 mansion turned into the Hotel Jose Nogueira. The hotel was declared a national monument in 1982 and has 22 fantastic suite guest rooms. We are in room # 311 which has a walk-in room shower 7 ft X 7 ft, with 3 shower heads and floor space that could accommodate 6 people. The original mansion was owned by a VERY wealthy couple that built their four-story home, that at the time included rooms for their guest. Around 2020 the mansion was converted over to a Museum of the original owners living space and the 22 guest rooms converted to the hotel feature. We walked through the original living accommodations and were very much impressed with the opulence that went into the home’s construction with its 20-ft ceilings. The home reminded us very much of the Pabst Mansion in Milwaukee. Giving this hotel a 4.3 hinge rating. The only down feature is the single elevator (most likely a design backfit when the structure was converted to a hotel) as it is only big enough for two people and one bag. In its day of original construction, impressive staircases were the means of moving between floors.
