I discovered Infinity Suites by using Hotels.com. This was my first experience beside staying at a hotel, I had a suite with other utilities to use. It is nice, located in near by metro station and connected to downtown.La Moneda is close as well. I recommend this place, but I don't know if they still have apartments on hotels.com. One thing: If you get the bottom apartment you will hear car noises and things, it would be great to request top floor. Enjoy!

Such a great place to be! The neighborhood is just fine. Santiago its a easy place to get around Too bad the ´night´ starts so late. Even though it was nice. The airport was organized and people are nicer than in Brazil (Brazilian speaking here)

I am writing this at 1am unable to sleep for the third night in a row because of loud music and constant lights shining into the room. The curtains don't fit the window so the security light from the car park shines on my face every time a car comes in. The room faces out onto a central courtyard of many apartments and you can hear everybody's tv and music. The room itself is ok but the television is completely disconnected and they haven't come to replace the cable box, despite saying they would. The noise is incredible, I can hear a loud buzzer going off now and, as I said, it is 1am. I would like to put the tv on to drown out the noise but the cable box has been removed. The towels smell like they were left in the washing machine for a few days before being taken out to dry and the bedclothes are not clean. The alarm clock has no batteries. Last time I came to Santiago, I stayed in another aparthotel so I knew there wouldn't be much in the way of customer service. However this one did not even leave a map in the room. Luckily I speak Spanish or I think I would be totally lost. There is also no aircon which is another lost opportunity to drown out the noise. It has also been a bit too hot for most people to cope without aircon (I have struggled and I like the heat). On the plus side the internet is high speed and reliable and the location is good in terms of being near the centre of Santiago. However, the sleep deprivation is not worth it. Last time I stayed in Providencia and used the metro which is cheap and convenient, besides taxis are not that expensive. I would do that again next time too. I have one more night here and I cannot wait to leave. I need some sleep!!!
