Rent A Suite Menorca

The Menorca Apartment Suite is located in a busy residential area but on a quiet street - Andres De Fuenzalida, with good transportation downtown to the city center - Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. A metro stop is just 3 streets away, bus transportation and a supermarket is 1 street away on Providencia Ave. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in the area. Taxi from the main bus terminal takes 20 minutes - cost 5,000 Chilean Peso or $10.00 USA. A taxi from the airport takes between a half hour and 1 hour depending on traffic - cost 18,000 Chilean Peso or $40.00 USA at 520 Chilean Peso to $1.00 USA. The reception office is on the 2nd floor. 1 staff person speaks English. There is 24 hours security at the entrance to the building. A safe is provided in the bedroom. An electric outlet convertor is needed with 3 prongs. Reception will provide 2. Internet service is in the room - Wi-fi. Frying pan and cutting knives for meat and veggies are old and worn. They need to be replaced. The carpets are worn, ceilings need painting, especially in the main bathroom where the paint is peeling. Towels and a very small bath mat are old. The patio shade screens are old and torn. There is not a shade screen facing the front of the building to block an afternoon sun. Cleaning of rooms start at 10:00 a.m. Make sure to ask for a do not disturb sign to put on the outside door handle if you want to sleep past 10 a.m. Continental breakfast is a disaster. Two packets of instant coffee, 2 tea bags, sugar, 4 slices of white bread, 2 small packets of butter & jam, 2 very small light milk and juice cartons are provided every evening after 5:00 p.m.

The apartments are very big withy a very large bed. With the space available, they could provide another bed and room. The service is good, the Internet is free and good quality. The location is next to the subway station, so easy to move around. Some rooms are better than others and the only thing I don't like is noise. If your neighbors are noisy, you are going to hear them for sure. Otherwise, it is a good option in Santiago.
