Crowne Plaza

I only stayed one night on a business trip, so this will not be a comprehensive review. I chose it because it was about 15 minutes from where I had a meeting. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was large and clean with good bathroom amenities. Good bed, good linen. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with a large array of western, Chinese, and local choices. If you are looking for local street food, across the street from the hotel and a couple of minutes' walk further east, there is a night stall food market with a decent selection of things to buy on the quick and go. Super cheap with many things to eat under 10 yuan. This was especially helpful for me, as I had not had dinner and it was late by the time I arrived, and I didn't wish to order delivery or room service. Also, I needed to stretch the legs a bit anyway after my flight. This is not a very large one - about ten or so food stalls, so don't think "tourist" food/snack market. This is definitely for locals who are out and about late, or people getting off work late or getting something to eat before a night shift. The hotel in-house convenience store on the first floor was very convenient. It was fully self-service, use your phone to scan codes and pay directly before exiting. I bought a couple of bottled drinks to go with the food I ordered at the street market.

We were upgraded to vip room of huge size. Amazing surprise, thanks a lot ! Breakfast was good All good about this hotel. Only problem it’s a bit old and old fashioned. It was also big contrast to look out of our luxury vip room to the horrible slums outside it

I was favorably impressed on my second stay at the Crowne Plaza Hefei. I didn’t score a suite this visit but my room was nice and functional. Breakfast was very good. There were several Western options available. I usually skip the French Toast but I confess that I carbbed out on four pieces this morning.
